Heather's Pearl Story
Starting from my first birthday, my grandma (Loreto "Sis" Eichhorn) would get me (along with all my girl cousins) one cultured pearl.
This pearl was to go on my Start-Her-Pearl Orienta® Necklace.
My grandma passed away when I was 21 years old. For awhile I did not want to receive any more pearls
from anyone because I wanted to keep the necklace just how it was with 21 cultured pearls on it
which represented all the pearls I received from my late grandma.
On my 25th birthday my cousin, Hailey Straub, gave me two more pearls to add to my necklace.
Time passed and I started working at Eichhorn Jewelry in 2006 and realized just how beautiful
a finished cultured pearl necklace was!
From late 2006 to May 2010 I was fortunate to have so many generous people help me finish my necklace.
For my 30th birthday (2009) my parents gave me over an inch of pearls.
The Valentine's Day before I was married, my father gave me an inch of pearls with a sweet card
saying that this was the last Valentine's Day he was the main man in my heart so he wanted to spoil me.
Of course, this brought tears to my eyes and knew he would always be the main man in my
heart but he had to share that light with my now husband, PJ.
I also received three inches of pearls from my then fiancé that same Valentine's Day.
For my bridal shower I was presented with many inches
of cultured pearls from a large group of my family, friends and co-workers.
Thankfully, from all the generous gifts in those 4 years I was able to finish my necklace.
The last gift was from my then fiancé, PJ Cruse; a diamond pearl clasp.
He had the girls at Eichhorn Jewelry string my necklace with the clasp and he then presented it to me
the night before our wedding. This pearl necklace not only represents beauty; it represents my late
grandmother along with my parents, family, friends and husband. I will treasure this piece of jewelry forever!
